Board Counsel to Board Member Kara M. Stein
Andy Green is Board Counsel to Board Member Kara Stein and advises her on all matters that come before the Board.
Most recently, Mr. Green served as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, working on matters related to transparent, fair, and competitive markets. Previously, Mr. Green was a senior research manager at a think tank where his research focused on financial markets and economic policy, and prior to that was counsel to a Commissioner at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Green served as staff director of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee’s Subcommittee on Economic Policy and as counsel in the U.S. Senate during the legislative response to the 2008 financial crisis.
In private practice, Mr. Green advised U.S. underwriters and issuers on capital markets issuances and cross-border investment risk. He holds a J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, and an A.B. and A.M. from Harvard University.
